Strong and Durable.The first pipe fence made of aluminum, the Alumashield Fence design is patented and the only one of its kind. The posts and rails are composed of 2 3/8” aluminum alloy tubing reinforced by a high strength cold-rolled steel tubing core sealed in at each end. This composite construction gives the rails more strength than steel pipe alone and enables significantly more flex for improved horse safety. The fence components are protected with an architectural grade powder coating in combination with a chromate conversion coating for superior paint adhesion and rust resistance. Unlike galvanized, powder coated steel pipe fence, this fence will never rust!

Long Lasting. The expected lifetime of the Alumashield Fence is 50 plus years. The lifetime maintenance costs are virtually zero. Every single component of the Alumashield Fence is highly corrosion resistant. The fence sections are thermally independent with allowance for the slight expansion and contraction that occurs with metal. The rails will not warp, sag or break, or push the posts out of alignment. The protective coating will not chip and has superior long-term resistance to fading and chalking. And aluminum, like steel, is not palatable to horses and will not be destroyed from cribbing.
Clever Design.The patented rail connectors are also made of aluminum alloy and are fitted with rubber grommets to protect the rails’ coating. Each connector has a single set screw made of forged aluminum fitted with a rubber grommet at its base. The rubber grommets allow the rails to be easily articulated to fit any layout or terrain and ensure the protective coating is never compromised during installation.
Easy Installation. Once the posts are set correctly, the rail connectors simply slip on the posts and rails and are easily fastened at each intersection with the quick turn of just one set screw. For detailed installation instructions and layout, click here.
Designed For Horse Safety. The Alumashield Fence is highly visible and has smooth, rounded components. The rails flex will serve to cushion the horse upon impact and will spring back to a perfectly straight line. They will not break. There is no splintering or shards, no wires or barbs, and no protruding nails or screws. The horse is safely contained within the fence boundaries without escape or injury.
